The Love Story of Buchi Fil and Mosa Nena begins at Governor's Palace in Punda, after which we board the bus to Waterfort: where the legendary love story began when Mosa Nena arrived by ship from Ghana. The story symbolizes the survival of black Curaçao during an eventful period in the island's colonial history. It is a story of OUR shared loves and sorrows, oppression and victory; of future challenges to deal with the past and finding answers in our journey into the past.
During this journey, you will be taken to unique vantage points that make up the highs and lows of the legendary love story. From the Governor's Palace, the story will take you past Waterfort, Scharloo, Fort Nassau, Kas di Pal'i Maishi and Banda Bou, among others.
By noon, we are welcomed for lunch at an open-air museum, followed by a ceremony on love, survival and freedom at the Tula Monument. The end point of the Cultural Experience is at the waterfront at the Rif Fort, in Otrobanda.
